At the British Varicose Vein Centre all our patients are initially diagnosed by using a Duplex ultrasound. This non-evasive evaluation of the blood flow through the veins and arteries provides essential information to the team for them to plan every individual’s treatment.

The ultrasound procedure enables staff to study the patient’s veins and arteries and is an essential tool in dealing with varicose vein, spider vein and deep vein issues.

The Duplex scan is perfectly safe and is a routine procedure on all patients who come to the British Varicose Vein Centre. It can be seen as the starting off point for the patient’s recovery from all varicose vein issues.
